Behavioural Architects Build Senior Team

UK-based insight and research consultancy The Behavioural Architects has appointed behavioural economics specialist Elizabeth Barker as Global Head of BE Intelligence & Networks, less than a month after launching.

Elizabeth BarkerThe Behavioural Architects was set up in June by three former leaders of The Futures Company (TFC) - Crawford Hollingworth, Sian Davies and Sarah Davies. The trio focus on the use of behavioural economics (BE) to deepen consumer understanding and help companies influence consumer behaviour.

They have already recruited a global networks of 'expert eyes', and have put in place a cross-country database of consumer behavioural insights which taps into intelligence gathered from behavioural science experts around the world.

Barker joins from Oxford Analytica, a firm which provides strategic analysis of world events. There she served as Deputy Director of Advisory, in charge of a large internal team and an external expert network.

Earlier in her career, Barker was a Project Researcher at consultancy Oxford Policy Management, and a Project Officer at non-profit organisation Ladakh Development, in India.

In her new role, she is tasked with 'building bridges' between the academic world of behavioural sciences and marketing, by managing the firm's networks of university relationships around the world. She will also be responsible for developing its global behavioural economic databases.

Co-founder Hollingworth comments: 'Liz's economics background and experience with Oxford Analytica are a perfect combination. She will make a fabulous addition to our global team.'
