Cint Opens in Japan with Borders Partnership
Panel exchange operator Cint has opened a new office in Japan, where it has partnered with technology-based market research firm Borders, to offer access to more than 500,000 panellists across the country.
Based in Tokyo, Borders is the company behind the POST survey and panel management system (Professional Online Survey Tool). Like the Cint Panel Exchange (CPX), this provides a marketplace through which research buyers can access panel sample.
Both solutions offer self-service options - sample-only direct via CPX, of full-service via POST. In addition, the firms are developing an application to link the two platforms, which Borders' founder Ikuo Hagino says will offer Japanese buyers of online research services a 'seamless gateway' to global sample.
Richard Thornton, Cint's Global Commercial Director, comments: 'The synergy between the two firms enables increased access, new service offerings and distinctive technological advancements. We feel like this is the right fit in terms of getting a foothold into the Japanese market and hope this will expedite growth for both companies.'
