Ashton Leaves BritainThinks for Hong Kong Role

David Ashton has left his position as Research Lead at public opinion specialist BritainThinks after just eight months in the role, to join the Hong Kong office of Brunswick Research, the opinion research practice of PR firm Brunswick Group.

David AshtonLondon-based Brunswick specialises in assessing global business issues and corporate reputation, and uses research techniques to help companies and organisations inform and measure their communications strategies.

Ashton began his career at Populus, the pollster to The Times and Tory Party, where he worked for four years as a senior researcher before joining BritainThinks - the agency set up by Opinion Leader Research founders Viki Cooke and Deborah Mattinson last year.

In his new role as Account Director, he will work closely with former Opinion Leader Research Director Graeme Trayner, who set up Brunswick Research in 2006.

Brunswick's Managing Partner in the region, Tim Payne, comments: 'David will be a fantastic addition to the Brunswick team in Hong Kong. We have already carried out a significant number of research-based communications projects for clients across a broad range of sectors in Asia and, with demand for this type of work continuing to grow, David's timely arrival in Hong Kong will further enhance the high quality service we offer to our clients.'
