Webklipper Raises Funds for WebEngage Survey Tool

Mumbai-based online feedback and survey tools provider Webklipper Technologies has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding, which will be used for product development, hiring sales and marketing teams, and for expanding its operations beyond India.

Avlesh SinghWebklipper was founded a year ago by three former employees of local lifestyle portal burrp.com, Avlesh Singh (pictured), Ankit Utreja and Manish Kashyap. Its flagship solution WebEngage provides a customer feedback and survey platform which can be integrated into users' e-commerce sites, vertical search sites, and blogs.

The tool allows publishers to create surveys and target them at their site visitors according to behavior, geography and profiling info. WebEngage also provides an analytics function and a dashboard providing an overview of results over time.

The firm's first round of funding has been led by Indian Angel Network (IAN), which is headed by Google India chief Rajan Anandan - he joins the Webklipper Board of Directors.

Speaking about the seed funding, co-founder and CEO Singh comments: 'We are confident that the investment will help us accelerate growth and expand in markets outside India. We have already come out of private beta and closed deals with 400 web businesses, which shows the faith that consumer centric companies have in our product and how we can create positive impact on their online businesses.'
