Kontagent Hires Product Developer from Google

In the US, social media and user analytics specialist Kontagent has appointed former Google product development leader Evin Levey to lead its own product management efforts.

San Francisco-based Kontagent boasts a user analytics platform covering more than 15,000 messages sent every second by over 150 million monthly active users over more than 1,000 social apps. Its proprietary kSuite offers visualization and analysis of patterns in social media data.

Earlier this month, the firm raised $12m in Series B funding, which it is using to continue product innovation and to expand into new coverage areas, including mobile.

Levey worked at Google for the past four years as Senior Product Manager on internal analytics, user privacy and search infrastructure. Over the past two years, he led the product development of Google Docs and Google Apps Script. For the eight years prior to this, he served as Engineering Manager at digital games specialist Havok.com.

In his new role as Vice President of Product, Levey will lead Kontagent's product management, and help add more functionality to the kSuite platform.
