Video Analytics Firm Skytide Hires Web Veteran

Online video analytics firm Skytide has hired analytics and business intelligence veteran Dr Hamid Bahadori as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering, to lead the firm's product development initiatives.

US-based Skytide enables content delivery and digital media providers to measure and optimise the performance of their streaming video businesses. The firm's analytics applications are built on top of its patented platform architecture, which is designed to process large amounts of data. Another service, Skytide for Video Players, uses client log data captured from video players to provide an understanding of quality of service and viewer engagement metrics.

Bahadori (pictured) joins with a 24-year background in the software industry, gained in senior management positions in web analytics, business intelligence and performance management firms.

Most recently, he was VP of Product Development and Hosted Operations at forecasting specialist Adaptive Planning, prior to which he served as VP of Engineering at web analytics companies Webtrends and Coremetrics (acquired by IBM). Earlier in his career, Bahadori founded Kooh10 Technology, and served as SVP of Engineering at Actuate, Senior Director of Engineering at Oracle and Senior Staff Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
