LivePerson Buy Brings in Analytics Talent and Tech

Real-time online solutions firm LivePerson, Inc. has agreed to acquire technology and intellectual property assets of Israel-based start-up, Amadesa, Ltd. in an all cash transaction scheduled to close later in the second quarter.

Robert LoCascio and Avi KedmiAmadesa provides web site testing and relevance targeting solutions to improve online conversions and engagement activity, and its multivariate testing and predictive targeting technology will help LivePerson customers develop more integrated cross-channel predictive intelligence systems.

LivePerson is headquartered in New York City with offices in San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Atlanta, London and Melbourne, Australia. Its cloud-based platform helps clients connect with customers in real time via chat, voice and content delivery over web sites, social media and mobile, allowing 'intelligent engagement' based on real-time behavioral analytics.

Welcoming Amadesa's 'experienced team of data scientists and programming talent', LivePerson CEO and founder Robert LoCascio says his firm is focused on organic product innovation, but 'remains open to accelerating development and adding talent through focused acquisitions that enhance our execution capabilities'.

Avi Kedmi, Amadesa CEO and Founder, comments: 'Our predictive targeting technology will complement LivePerson's market-leading platform, enabling businesses to enhance their intelligent engagement strategies across multiple channels in a more frictionless, automated manner.'

The deal should close in June, subject to customary closing conditions.
