Initiative Picks Former Microsoft Exec for Top Role

Interpublic Group-owned media agency Initiative has appointed former Microsoft Advertising exec Marc Bresseel as 'G14 President', responsible for its highest performing markets outside the US. He takes up the London-based role in September.

Marc BresseelInitiative's range of services includes research and insight, media planning and buying, digital communications solutions, content creation, and evaluation.

Bresseel joins from Microsoft Advertising, where he most recently served as VP, Global Marketing, in charge of the firm's brand strategy and for developing its strategic partnerships around the world. Prior to this he was VP Global Agencies, and General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Microsoft Advertising EMEA. He joined the company in 1996 as Corporate Communications Manager for Microsoft Benelux.

In his new role, Bresseel will be responsible for driving business growth across the other countries in the firm's 'G14', which are France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, the UK, Australia, China, India, Brazil and Mexico.

He will be supported by G14's Worldwide MD Alain Damond, work alongside the network's various function leads, and report to Initiative's Worldwide CEO Jim Hytner.
