Converseon API Integrates Social Intelligence

Social media strategy and analytics firm Converseon has launched a text-based service called ConveyAPI, which uses natural language processing, statistical modelling and machine learning to enable users to integrate social intelligence data into their own applications.

Rob KeyNew York-based Converseon combines automated and human analysis to provide clients with a suite of customisable 'listening solutions', to help them map, monitor and react to social media conversations.

ConveyAPI combines the firm's bank of human-coded records across more than 50,000 brands with advanced machine learning and language processing, to attain what the firm describes as 'near-human level analysis' of sentiment, emotion and relevance.

The service is the result of three years' research and development by Converseon's team of data scientists, including Dr Philip Resnik of the University of Maryland, and Dr Jason Baldridge, Professor at the University of Texas, Austin.

CEO Rob Key (pictured) comments: 'We see social intelligence as the lifeblood to literally thousands of new and emerging applications. The mission of ConveyAPI is to become the engine that powers an ever-expanding ecosystem of third party socially-intelligent business applications.'
