ORC International Boosts US and UK Teams

Global market and employee research specialist ORC International has expanded its team with the appointment of four new members of staff in the US, and a senior exec in the UK.

Susan Baron, Kris Klein and Vicky WhitingSusan Baron takes up the position of Senior Vice President in the firm's Consumer practice in New York. She joins with more than 25 years' market research experience gained most recently at Ipsos, and for the previous eleven at TNS, where she latterly managed a team of 20 research analysts. Earlier, she worked at Young & Rubicam, Smith Barney, Harris Upham, Bank of New York, and Manufacturers Hanover Trust.

In her new position, Baron manages the Consumer market research team, and is responsible for the development and execution of client projects.

Eve Oster has also joined the Consumer team in New York, as Vice President, from Ipsos (formerly Synovate), where she managed a client service team and led all US research in the foods category for one of the firm's major clients. Prior to this, she spent twenty years at full service agency Newman Stein.

ORC International's New York-based Healthcare practice has appointed Kris Klein as Vice President, responsible for developing relationships with market research, product development and marketing contacts at client companies. He joins with twelve years' experience gained at Nielsen.

Vice President Laurie Gelb has joined the firm's Public & Civic Services practice in Seattle, with more than 30 years' research, operations and marketing experience. During her career, Gelb has worked client side at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Aventis Pharmaceuticals and WellPoint, as well as agency side at GfK Healthcare and Harris Interactive.

In London, UK, former BDRC Continental exec Vicky Whiting becomes Research Director in the Financial Services division, responsible for leading the firm's risk and pensions syndicated research studies. Most recently, she worked at BDRC as an AD, prior to which she held research positions at GE Money, the Audit Commission and the Pensions Regulator.
