Consumer Agency Envirosell Opens in Istanbul

New York-based consumer behavior research and consulting firm Envirosell has opened an office in Istanbul, Turkey, led by recently appointed telecoms specialists Melik Karabiyikoglu and Burc Tutanc.

Founded in 1977 by retail insight and buying behavior specialist Paco Underhill, Envirosell specializes in studying human behavior in retail, service, home, and online environments through observational research and attitudinal studies. Along with its US HQ, the company has offices in Milan, Tokyo, São Paulo, Mexico City, Mumbai, Bangkok, Seoul, and London, where its strategic UK partner is HPI.

Karabiyikoglu (pictured) joined the firm in June from Samsung, where he served as Telecom Channel Manager. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Eagle Mobile, Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri, and Frito Lay, and he served as a Marketing and Research Specialist at JTI in Ankara.

Tutanc joins from KVK Teknoloji Ürünleri where he served as Chief Sales Officer, prior to which he was General Manager of Sistem Teknik Bili?im Teknolojileri, Sales Director at Turk Telekom, and Sales Operations Manager at Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri. Earlier, he held senior sales positions in three ice cream companies.
