TrendSource Launches Survey App

San Diego, CA-based custom research and mystery shopping provider TrendSource has launched a new survey app, wINput, for Apple and Android users.

Users of the app can 'share their preferences, perceptions and experiences with an engaged community' and are entered in weekly prize draws to win gift cards, as well as a draw for a monthly grand prize such as a tablet computer - chances increase each time a survey is completed.

Features of the app include GPS-enabled searching to survey people 'on location'; the ability to upload digital photos; opinion sharing via 'Casual Questions' with instant feedback on how fellow app users answered; and the option to compare one's activity with that of the rest of the wINput community via the 'My Stats' page. The app has apparently gone down well with the company's mystery shopper community, to whom it was introduced last month.

The firm's VP of Sales and Marketing, Jana De Anda, comments: 'wINput allows us to engage with real customers to develop comparisons and standards in target industries. Long-term, this will allow us to support our clients in strategy development based on knowledge of trends in their industries.'
