Senior Moves at Millward Brown

Millward Brown has announced changes to its AMAP (Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific) Executive Board, including changed roles for Shishir Varma and Deepender Rana, and the addition of newly promoted South Asia MD Prasun Basu.

Senior Moves at Millward BrownExisting Board member Varma is appointed as Chief Client Officer, with a remit to guide key client strategy and keep the region's client service operation 'genuinely client-focused'. He has spent the last thirteen years with the company, in China, Japan, Australia and India, having previously worked with Unilever in India. He moves to Dubai as part of the changes.

Varma will step down from his current position as MD of Millward Brown in India at the beginning of April, and be replaced by Basu, who previously led the WPP firm's business in the Middle East and North Africa.

Rana takes the newly created position of Chief Client Solutions Officer, and will oversee strategy, development and deployment of offer innovation. His career at MB spans fourteen years of management and client roles in Hong Kong and Shanghai, including the last five as Chief Client Officer. His job includes development of solutions such as Cross Media and the core Brand and Communications Tracking offer; the integration of Facial Coding in the company's Link Creative Development suite; and 'seriously exploring the exciting possibilities of mobile, which will be an industry game changer.'

All three positions report to Travyn Rhall, CEO - Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific, who comments: 'Re-structuring how we lead and organise client responsibilities and solutions will... make it possible for us to deploy our strategies faster and with greater consistency. Our region has grown dramatically over the last five years which is testament to the wholehearted support from our clients, and the hard work of all our employees.'
