NPD Hires Four for DisplaySearch Business

US-based consumer intelligence specialist The NPD Group has appointed four new market research analysts at its flat panel display specialist NPD DisplaySearch in the US, Korea and Taiwan.

Paul SemenzaNPD DisplaySearch provides research reports, trend information, forecasts and analyses for the global LED and flat panel display supply chains - including analyses of TVs, notebook PCs, desktop monitors, public displays and handheld devices. The business is headquartered in California, with additional offices in Japan, South Korea, Europe, China, Taiwan and India.

Todd Fender joins the company's Rosemont, Illinois office as Senior Analyst, Professional and Commercial Displays, with a seventeen-year background in product management and marketing for digital signage/professional displays. During his career, Fender has worked at companies such as NEC, LGE, Canvys and Peerless-AV.

In San Diego, California, Tina Teng takes up the position of Senior Analyst, Smartphones, with experience of wireless, mobile devices and semiconductors. Most recently, she served as a Financial Analyst at Qualcomm, prior to which she was a Wireless Communications Analyst at iSuppli, and held various positions at Texas Instruments, and MCI Worldcom.

At the Seoul office Moo-Youl Huh joins as Analyst, Small/Medium Displays and Touch, covering small/medium displays, touch, and mobile PC panels. Before this, he worked as a Strategic Marketing Manager and then a TFT LCT Module Process Engineer at Hydis in Korea.

Peter Su joins as an Analyst, Large-Area TFT LCDs in the Taipei office, and will cover products including panels for TVs, monitors and mobile PCs. Most recently, he worked for AUO in mobile PC panel marketing and capacity planning, and at touch screen manufacturer Apex Material Technology.
