GoodData Raises $22m for LatAm Expansion

Cloud-based big data analytics specialist GoodData, headquartered in San Francisco, has raised $22m in Series D funding, which it will use to support its expansion into the Latin American enterprise software market.

Roman StanekLaunched in 2007, GoodData offers an analytics platform which provides clients with operational dashboards, advanced reporting and data warehousing, via computers or mobile apps.

New funds have been led by TOTVS Ventures - the investment arm of Latin American enterprise software and business analytics firm TOTVS S.A. - with support from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst Partners, Next World Capital and Tenaya Capital. This latest round brings GoodData's total funding to $75.5m.

As part of the agreement, GoodData will gain access to the Latin American software market through TOTVS's distribution channel, which spans 24 markets across the region. In addition, the partnership provides TOTVS with exclusive access to GoodData's big data platform in Latin America.

Roman Stanek (pictured), founder and CEO, comments: 'We founded GoodData as a cloud company because cloud has no barriers to scale or new markets. We're now taking GoodData to the next step: leveraging TOTVS's dominant position in the region to extend our US leadership to the $9 billion Latin America software market.'
