WPP's Digitaria Hires User Experience Director

WPP-owned marketing, technology and data company Digitaria has appointed Shawn Kardell as User Experience (UX) Director in its Minneapolis office.

Shawn KardellFounded in 1997, Digitaria executes digital campaigns and technology initiatives for businesses around the world. As well as its operations in Minneapolis, the company has additional offices in San Diego, Los Angeles and Washington DC.

Kardell (pictured) joins with more than fifteen years' experience overseeing UX strategy, design and information architecture. Most recently, he served as Senior User Experience Consultant at Evantage Consulting, prior to which he ran his own UX consulting firm which also offered training for creative teams. Earlier he was Director, User Experience Design at full-service digital innovation agency space150, where he grew the team from two employees to twelve in roughly 18 months and integrated user experience in every element of the company's process. Before this, he served as Senior Visual Designer - Usability at Thomson Reuters, and Adjunct Professor User Experience Design at Miami Ad School Minneapolis.

In his new role, Kardell will oversee immersive user research, concept testing and usability testing, while leading the team in the collaborative development of prototypes for the demonstration of concepts to clients.
