Edelman Berland Launches in China

PR group Edelman has launched its Edelman Berland research and analytics subsidiary in Greater China, and has relocated Fergus Clarke from its Abu Dhabi office to Hong Kong to lead it as Head of Research for Edelman Berland Greater China.

Fergus ClarkeThe group has 1,300 staff members in 26 offices across thirteen countries in the region, on which the new unit can call for expertise. Edelman Berland Greater China will provide strategic intelligence based on a full range of qual and quant market research services.

Clarke joined Edelman Berland in 2011 and until now served as Head of Research for South Asia, Middle East & Africa, helping to develop offerings for online communities and social media monitoring. Before joining Edelman he spent seven years with the Kantar Group in a number of roles in Hong Kong and London.

Floyd McMillan replaces him as Head of Edelman Berland South Asia, Middle East & Africa.

David Brain, President & CEO of Edelman in the region, comments: 'The addition of Edelman Berland's expertise in China means a significant upgrade in our ability to provide real-time analytics, benchmarking and insights, which in turn drives better programming and creative for clients.
