AAM Seeks New President as Lavery Prepares to Retire

Mike Lavery has announced he is to retire from his position as President and MD of the US-based Alliance for Audited Media (AAM) in late 2014.

Mike LaveryThe New York-based Alliance independently verifies print and digital circulation and audience information, and analytics for mobile apps, web sites and social media, in the US and Canada. The not-for-profit organization was formed last year after the merger of the Audit Bureau of Circulations and the Certified Audit of Circulations.

Lavery (pictured) joined the ABC in 1987 as VP of Finance and Administration, and a year later managed the organization's 2,500 annual audits while serving as SVP of Auditing Services. In 1995, he became President, since when he has led the organisation and its successor's transformation from a print-centric to a multichannel auditor.

In a statement, AAM said that it is seeking a candidate with knowledge and experience of traditional and digital media, advertising, and audience measurement, along with executive leadership experience.
