More Investment for App Developer 1World Online

Less than a year on from its launch, US-based polling and data analytics company 1World Online has closed $1.5m in Series A financing, for use in product development, geographical expansion and growth in its partner base.

The new round included both angel and institutional investors. In July last year, the company announced an initial $1m in funds.

CEO and co-founder Alex Fedosseev (pictured) said the new investment would be used 'to put more resources into our products and services, support our new customer wins and begin the expansion into new markets.'

1World provides what it describes as a 'beautiful' cross-platform application usable on computer, tablet or smartphone and with iOS, Android and now Windows 8/8.1. The app provides active polls, poll results and expert opinions and is currently available in English, Russian, Spanish and French.

Fedosseev adds: 'We hit our targets this year in terms of our membership numbers, partner deployments and establishing ourselves as a major player in the area of web engagement and smart content.'
