GroundCntrl Launches 'SmartCheck' In-Store Intelligence

Mobile data and analytics platform GroundCntrl has launched a new service called SmartCheck, to provide retailers and brands with a way to acquire real-time, in-store intelligence about their products, promotions, and competitors.

Daniel RossignolSacramento, CA-based GroundCntrl enables retailers, consumer product companies and marketing agencies to conduct field audits and competitive intelligence, monitor and optimize in-store marketing programs, and track promotional compliance.

Its new SmartCheck tool offers a searchable visual database which provides users with real-time visibility into their retail and promotional executions, while enabling them to modify the types of data being gathered on-the-ground. Through the tool, retailers can assess what needs to be measured, gathered, and analyzed; then collect and post the requested data - such as images on new promotional display, product stocking levels, and feedback on staff readiness - to deliver the product message, or intelligence on competitor pricing. Field data is then aggregated in real-time into a database, which users can monitor via online dashboards.
