Havas Media Appoints Potts as First Chief Data Officer
In London, Havas Media Group has named Mike Potts as its first Chief Data Officer, in a move designed to put data 'at the heart' of the agency.
Potts (pictured) joined Havas in April 2013, following the firm's acquisition of pan-European data analytics specialist ElisaDBi (now DBi), which he founded and where he served as Group MD. He has fifteen years' digital marketing industry experience, having previously worked at Coca Cola, Travelstore.com, and Expedia, before launching ElisaDBi.
In his new role, he will head up all Havas Media Group's data and marketing technology teams, including DBi, and he is charged with building and strengthening the company's relationships with data and technology partners and growing existing data and marketing technology services.
Havas Media Group is made up of two media brands: Arena and Havas Media, and Potts now reports to both Arena CEO Pedro Avery and Havas Media CEO Paul Frampton who comments: 'Mike's new role signals a pioneering new stance for Havas Media Group, demonstrating we are uniquely serious about placing data and technology at the heart of everything we do for clients.'
