Social Media Community Firm Opens in Sydney

London-based social media community management and moderation firm Emoderation has launched a regional headquarters in Sydney, from where it will provide services to clients across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Founded in 2002, Emoderation delivers social media consultancy, listening and crisis management services in over 50 languages, to clients across a wide range of industries. Its listening service identifies online influencers, tracks the 'buzz' around specific campaigns, and offers reputation protection and management. The firm, which also has offices in New York and Los Angeles, employs a staff of more than 300 including social media events moderators, community managers and content marketers - including twelve in Australia and New Zealand and 21 across the Asia Pacific region.

The new office will be led by Fiona Berry (pictured), who takes up the role of Business Development Director, Australia and APAC, having previously worked for comms agency H&T, and served as a Senior Account Director at Ogilvy & Mather. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at brand and design agency Hulsbosch, was Assistant to Head of TV at Leagas Delaney, and a Marketing Assistant at PepsiCo.
