Nielsen Names Three Comms Leaders

Nielsen has announced three appointments for senior communications roles, including Ben Billingsley and Flavie Lemarchand-Wood to leadership positions in its Global Watch division, and Kristie Stegen in an expanded role as Global Head of Internal Communications.

Ben BillingsleyBillingsley (pictured) joins as Senior Vice President, Global Watch Marketing and Communications, where he will collaborate with teams across media client services, global media product leadership, and Advertiser Solutions. He brings more than twenty years' experience of directing communications for global technology and media companies. Most recently, he worked at digital communications agency The Horn Group as a Partner, prior to which he held client service roles at marketing and public relations firm CooperKatz, and business development roles at media relations specialist Trylon SMR.

He reports to Chief Communications Officer Laura Nelson, and is based in New York.

Lemarchand-Wood has been promoted to Vice President, Deputy Communications Director, Global Watch. She joined Nielsen in 2011, having previously worked at Vivendi, PainePR and Euro RSCG Magnet. In her new role, reporting to Billingsley, she is tasked with driving the internal and external communications strategy and supporting strategic initiatives for Nielsen's television, audio and cross-platform audience measurement businesses.

Chicago-based Stegen takes on additional responsibility for developing and executing the firm's global internal communications strategy, and leading a team that develops and delivers content. She has worked for Nielsen since 2008, and previously held senior marcoms roles at banking group Citi, Budget Rent a Car, and Landmark Incentive Marketing.

Stegen also reports to Nelson, who comments: 'The incredible experience and expertise that Ben, Flavie, and Kristie bring to this team will play a huge role in shaping the Nielsen story globally. Nielsen's messaging and reputation couldn't be in better hands.'
