ComRes Adds Four to London Team

Policy and strategy consultancy ComRes has announced four hires, including former Ipsos MORI exec Nick Allen, who will lead services for transport, energy, utilities and planning clients; and two promotions.

Nick AllenThe company serves clients in the UK and internationally, and is particularly known in the UK for its polling work on behalf of The Independent and Independent on Sunday, ITV and the BBC. In April the firm launched a number of new services in preparation for May's European Parliament elections and next year's UK general election, including a tool which uses long-term voting intention trends and psephological analysis to gauge the most likely compositional range of the House of Commons after May 2015.

Allen (pictured) joins in the newly created role of Associate Director, from road and public transportation agency Metrolinx Canada, where he served as a Market Planner. Prior to this, he was a Research Manager at Ipsos Reid in Toronto and held the same title at Ipsos MORI in London. He began his career at Datamonitor before joining Adelphi International Research as an RE.

Tori Harris joins the firm's Public and Third Sector practice in the new role of Research Team Leader, from BBC Media Action where she was a Research Officer. Before this, she worked on multi-country studies as an SRE at Ipsos MORI.

In addition, ComRes has promoted Michael Granleese to the role of Associate Director in its Food and Beverage practice, and James Rentoul and Holly Wicks become Senior Consultants in the Infrastructure and Not-for-Profit sectors respectively. Susan Conroy joins as Business Development Manager from Dods, and James Laws as Business Development Executive from Groupon.
