Chinese Office for The Futures Company

UK based consultancy The Futures Company is opening an office in Shanghai, its second Asia-Pacific location after Singapore - and appointed former Ogilvy & Mather exec Kunal Sinha to lead it.

Kunal SinhaThe company, formed through the integration of The Henley Centre, HeadlightVision and Yankelovich and since combined with TRU, already had locations in North America, Latin America and Europe when it opened the Singapore operation in November 2013.

Sinha has almost 10 years experience in China and 25 years across the region. At O&M he was Chief Knowledge Officer for China and Cultural Insights Director for Asia Pacific. With the additional role of Chairman, Asia-Pacific, he will now work closely with Singapore-based MD Asia-Pacific Stephane Alpern, to develop the business in the region.

Global CEO Will Galgey says the firm has been working with clients in China for a number of years from its Singapore and global offices, and comments: 'We are delighted to be opening an office in China to support the continued growth of our business in Asia-Pacific.'

Sinha says he believes the timing of the launch is 'absolutely right', explaining: 'Growth has slowed, competition has intensified, there is greater scrutiny of corporations from people and the government alike, and power has shifted to the consumer. It is really hard for business leaders to find the answers to their greatest challenges'.

The Futures Company is part of Kantar and is online at www.thefuturescompany.com .
