ZenithOptimedia China Names Research & Analytics Head

Publicis-owned media services specialist ZenithOptimedia China has appointed former Millward Brown exec Chris Maier as Head of Research and Analytics.

Chris MaierThe group's China operation is divided into newcast (social and content solutions), Performics (digital performance marketing and e-commerce), and Ninah (advanced business analytics), and operates from Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.

Maier (pictured) joins from WPP's brand, media and comms research specialist Millward Brown, where he latterly served as Head of Media and Digital, Greater China. He joined online ad and cross-media measurement specialist Dynamic Logic as an Account Manager in 2004, prior to its acquisition by Millward Brown, initially working in Germany and then moving to Hong Kong as Director, Media and Digital Operations, Asia Pacific. Maier began his career as a Market Research Analyst at Weber Shandwick in Washington DC, before moving into an account exec role at Foote Cone and Belding in San Francisco.

Maier will begin his new role with the task of developing a proprietary study, and honing the agency's data analytics offering to include econometrics modelling.
