Kano to Lead New Krux Office in Tokyo

Cross-screen data management solutions provider Krux has opened an office in Tokyo, and appointed ad industry veteran Masahiro Kano as Japan Country Manager.

Masahiro KanoFounded in 2010 and with bases in San Francisco and New York, Krux offers a platform for the collection, management and analysis of raw consumer and audience web data. Users can create dynamic segments based on behavior, demographics, search words or third party data, for use in real-time targeted advertising. Earlier this year, the company raised $35m in Series B funding for global expansion, since when it has opened Asia Pacific offices in Singapore and Australia.

Kano (pictured) joins from online video ad targeting specialist TubeMogul, where he served as CEO in Japan. Prior to this, he was CEO of NetRatings Japan (now Nielsen) for more than eleven years.

In his new role, Kano is tasked with establishing Krux's presence in Japan, building a local team, and leading business development and marketing throughout the region. Tom Chavez, co-founder and CEO, comments: 'Masahiro has tremendous experience in the digital marketing and enterprise sales industries, and under his leadership, we expect our Tokyo operation to grow rapidly.'
