McIntosh is New YouGov UK CEO

YouGov has confirmed former Chief Strategy Officer Alex McIntosh as its new UK CEO, replacing Tim Britton.

McIntosh is New YouGov UK CEOBritton left in January, to pursue as yet unknown opportunities.

McIntosh will continue with his previous responsibilities alongside his new role. He joined the firm in 2007 after working as an accountant - including work on YouGov's IPO in 2005. Once at the research firm, he served as Corporate Finance Manager and then joined the innovations department, working on strategic direction alongside Global CEO & co-founder Stephan Shakespeare. He later helped to form YouGov's Data Intelligence Unit and then became CSO in 2014. Among other achievements, he led the development of media planning and audience segmentation tool YouGov Profiles.

Shakespeare comments: 'I am delighted that Alex is YouGov's new UK CEO. His exceptional knowledge of the UK business, allied to his clear plans for executing the strategy that he has himself helped create, made him our unanimous choice.
