Research Panel Asia Names New CEO

Tokyo-based Research Panel Asia (RPA) has promoted Masahiro Takanohashi to the role of Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Toshiki Sano who will continue to work for parent company Voyage Group (VG) as Head of Overseas Business.

RPA is a fully-owned subsidiary of price comparison / online services company VG. As well as its offices in Tokyo, RPA has bases in Seoul, Singapore, Shanghai, Manila, New York and Los Angeles, and has more than two million active panelists offering proprietary coverage in Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia.

Takanohashi (pictured) joined VG in 2008 with a background in software design, and was a founding member of RPA the following year. He initially spent time in Seoul establishing the Korea office, and was later assigned to Manila for three months to set up the company's 24-hour operations hub. More recently, he worked in Shanghai as COO.
