SPH Buys Health Plan Specialist Myers Group

US patient satisfaction and measurement solutions specialist Symphony Performance Health (SPH) has acquired health plan survey data provider The Myers Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Al VegaFull service survey firm The Myers Group counts more than 225 health plans among its clients, and in 2014 mailed more than five million surveys and made more than seven million calls. Symphony Performance Health says the buy will create a 'unique set' of patient and member experience measurement, reporting and action analytics capabilities for healthcare organizations. In combination with advanced population health solutions, these will enable it to offer population health clinical management solutions that overlap with overall patient experience measurement and analysis.

The two firms will now be combined under the new brand name SPH Analytics, operating from headquarters in Alpharetta, GA, and offices in Branford, CT, San Francisco, CA, Nashville, TN, and Duluth, GA.

CEO Al Vega (pictured) says the partnership 'creates highly differentiated patient experience capabilities beyond the traditional siloed survey measurement solutions that fall short of meeting these evolving needs'.
