DataMentors Follows Merger with Senior Hire

A week after merging with marketing data and services provider Relevate, US-based marketing data firm DataMentors has appointed former Fidelity Investments and OMD exec Jim Champlin as Senior Vice President, Client Services.

Jim ChamplinDataMentors provides business intelligence and 'Data-as-a-Service', using real-time analytics to help clients optimise their data-driven marketing strategies. A week ago it merged with Relevate, bringing the latter's CEO Steve Rao and CTO Damon Horst in as COO and CIO respectively, and retaining Vice Chairman Peg Kuman in her senior advisory role.

In his new role, Champlin will provide strategic guidance and insight solutions for clients. He brings more than twenty years' experience, including senior marketing strategy and execution roles at financial services giants Fidelity Investments and Allstate Insurance, and ran the Chicago business intelligence practice for media agency OMD. He also worked as a consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and with his own firm, Coronado Strategic Partners.

President Anders Ekman says Champlin brings 'both operational and strategic expertise in executing complex, multi-brand and multi-platform marketing strategies'. CEO Bob Orf comments: 'As we move forward with our post-merger evolution we are excited to welcome Jim to our team. I am confident that he will play a key role in further solidifying our ability to deliver high quality solutions to our clients'.
