Inmar Buys Product Insights Firm Willard Bishop

In the US, coupon trends and shopper promotion analysis specialist Inmar has acquired Chicago-based consumer product data and insights firm Willard Bishop. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jim HertelApplying localized approaches to assortment, pricing and promotion, Willard Bishop helps retailers increase shopper loyalty and basket size. Its tools include the proprietary SuperStudy suite, which provides insights into how specific segments are performing, while delivering financial metrics from a total store perspective, as well as information on online grocery shopping.

Inmar says the combination of its own real-time data on promotions, supply chain and healthcare, with Willard Bishop's expertise in food retailing, will deliver 'powerful solutions' for manufacturers and retailers.
