Reshuffle at Future Thinking as MDs Depart

UK-based agency Future Thinking has promoted Claudia Strauss to UK Managing Director, simultaneously announcing that Group MD Richard Barton and Qual MD Charlotte Butterworth are to leave the company 'to pursue other opportunities'. Rebecca Ironside and Ian Hext are also promoted.

Claudia StraussBarton and Butterworth had between them spent 32 years at the firm and its predecessor companies. Ironside will now take Butterworth's role as MD, Qualitative, while Hext steps into Strauss' shoes as Managing Director, Launch. The latter title reflects the company's focus on 'the three key areas that drive competitive advantage: Launch, Communicate, Experience'.

Strauss spent more than twelve years at Ipsos MORI, latterly as Research Director; held senior roles at Kerry Foods and T-Mobile; and then joined Burton's Biscuits Company where she was Head of Insight. She joined Future Thinking in May 2014 as Client Development Director, then became Managing Director of FMCG & Shopper (Launch). She now takes overall responsibility for running and growing the UK business.

CEO Jon Priest says Strauss has 'strong business acumen and the right blend of talents suited to this role... a clear strategic vision for how our business will continue to grow and drive the future of insight for current and prospective clients'. He adds 'I am also delighted that Rebecca and Ian have agreed to take on the challenge of their respective roles. I have no doubt the business and our clients will benefit from their collective experience and insightfulness going forwards'.
