Data Onboarding Firm LiveRamp Launches in Europe

Acxiom subsidiary LiveRamp has expanded its data onboarding service to the UK, France and Canada. Last week the firm appointed Jeff Smith as its new CMO and teamed up with DigitasLBi.

LiveRamp's platform helps marketers bring off-line first and third-party data from disparate sources into a central repository, with uses including ad targeting and assessment of campaign performance. Client records from more than 300 digital marketing platforms and data providers are matched in a 'Safe Haven' environment which prevents identification of individuals and keeps compliance with privacy laws. The company has been part of enterprise data and analytics company Acxiom since May 2014.

Last week, the company announced a partnership with marketing and tech agency DigitasLBi to provide clients with connected data for media planning, via the latter's insight platform IDIOM; and it appointed former Nielsen and Vizu exec Jeff Smith as CMO.

Travis May, President and General Manager of LiveRamp, comments: 'Our expansion into Europe represents a significant step toward our vision for powering a world where all marketing is relevant. Marketers are faced with overwhelming complexity created by an explosion of data, devices, and applications. Data onboarding simplifies omni-channel engagement and dramatically reduces waste by enabling everything in the marketing stack to work together'.
