Benenson Becomes Part of Burson-Marsteller

WPP has moved strategic consulting company Benenson Strategy Group (BSG) into the Burson-Marsteller PR and communications network.

Co-founders Joel Benenson, CEO, and Carl Rossow, COO, will continue to run BSG alongside Partners Daniel Franklin, Mitch Markel and Amy Levin. The company - a strategic research consultancy with particular expertise in the use of language - was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in New York, with offices in Denver, London, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. As well as running research and polling programs for President Barack Obama's 2008 and 2012 campaigns and working as lead pollster and strategist on the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, the firm works extensively in the private sector.

Burson-Marsteller boasts 73 offices and 85 affiliate offices, covering 110 countries, and is itself part of Young & Rubicam Group, within WPP. Benenson says his company is 'a natural fit with Burson-Marsteller, which is renowned for providing creative, evidence-based strategic counsel to drive powerful results for its clients'.

Donald A. Baer, Worldwide Chair and CEO, Burson-Marsteller says BSG brings to the group 'a team of world-class strategic counselors who have deep experience across the public and private sectors and provide excellent research and insights to deliver creative, results-oriented communications solutions to their clients'.

The companies are online at www.burson-marsteller.com and www.bsgco.com .
