Aquila Insight Reports 100 Percent Growth

In the UK, big data analytics firm Aquila Insight says it has doubled year-on-year turnover for the third consecutive year since launching in 2012, growing to £4.2m for the year 2015/16. The firm is planning the launch of its first international office later this year.

The company has offices in Edinburgh, London and Derby, and was set up four years ago by data analysts Warwick Beresford-Jones and John Brodie. Its flagship solution is the Discovery analytics platform, which processes large volumes of data at speed. The company currently employs more than 75 staff, and is recruiting twelve new analysts every quarter.

Beresford-Jones comments: 'All organisations want to know what's happening with their customers, what is going to change and what they need to do to be successful in future. We do that quickly and effectively, helping them to answer with accuracy that age-old business question: what three things should I be doing today to improve the business'.
