Tech Firm Buys Social Media Specialist Attentive.ly

In the US, social media listening software developer Attentive.ly has been acquired by non-profit technology company Blackbaud. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mike GianoniUsing Attentive.ly software, organizations can conduct social media listening, identify key influencers, and drive engagement. The firm, which was co-founded by CEO Rosalyn Lemieux and Cheryl Contee in 2012, powers influencer engagement, fundraising, and advocacy campaigns for brands in the non-profit, commercial and political spaces.

Blackbaud, which provides software and services to the philanthropic community, plans to integrate Attentive.ly's capabilities into the next version of its Luminate Online supporters and fundraising performance platform. Lemieux, along with the company's ten employees, will join Blackbaud, while Contee will serve as strategic adviser as she continues to lead consulting firm, Fission Strategy.
