AOL ONE Exec Joins Real-Time TV Analyst Samba

Samba TV, which provides real-time audience driven advertising and media analytics, has appointed Dan Ackerman as Chief Revenue Officer. He was previously SVP at AOL's data management platform ONE.

Dan AckermanSamba TV offers clients a real-time understanding of TV viewing and its impact on consumer behavior and purchase, with cross-platform analytics garnered from its technology embedded in millions of smart TVs. The company uses 'a nationwide, census like panel that is fully representative of the US population' to measure TV and digital ad exposure for each household. With more than 150 employees across ten global offices, the company has recently focused on strengthening its senior team with the addition of former YouTube exec Serena Satyasai as VP of Marketing, and Andy Kemp from AddThis, to head MidWest Sales.

Ackerman (pictured) has more than twenty years' experience of driving digital and television ad business development, including roles at CBS Corporation, WideOrbit, Ecast and Jivox; and will now be responsible for leading the global revenue efforts for Samba TV.
