Research America Buys Repass
Cincinatti, Ohio-based Repass Research and Strategic Consulting has been acquired by marketing and public opinion research firm Research America Inc. Terms were not disclosed.
 Research America is based in Newtown Square, PA, and has a total of twelve locations in the US, providing data collection, call center services, project management and other offers.
Following the sale, Repass will retain its current location and the Repass brand name. Founder and CEO Rex Repass will work with Research America to help 'integrate full service marketing and research capabilities into the portfolio'.
Repass, a graduate of Marshall University and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, began his research career in Charleston in 1978 as Opinion Research Director at Charles Ryan Associates, and went on to form Ryan-Repass Research, Inc., the first full-service survey research firm in West Virginia, according to the state's www.wvmetronews.com . He says of the latest move: 'The Research America acquisition gives me the opportunity to help grow a national company... really coast-to-coast, and that's very exciting at this point in my career'.
Research America Inc. president Robert Porter commented: 'Rex has built a very successful and respected firm with long-term clients and a talented staff. They will add significantly to our capabilities in quantitative and qualitative research methods and research-based strategy development'.
