Forrester's Research Revenues Inch Up

In the US, research and advisory group Forrester has reported a 1 per cent rise in revenue in its Research division, to $54.2m for the fourth quarter of 2016. Total group revenues were up 3.0 percent to $83.4m. For the whole of 2016, group revenue rose 4.0 percent to $326.1m.

George ColonyIn the firm's other division, Advisory Services and Events, revenues increased 7% to $29.2m (Q4 2016: $27.4m). For the full year ended December 31st 2016, Research Revenues rose 2% to $215.2m from $210.3m, with headcount in the division up by 21 staff to 520; and Advisory Services and Events revenue increased 7% to $110.9m.

Chairman and CEO George Colony (pictured) commented on the financial results: 'Forrester attained revenue guidance for 2016 while exceeding its operating income and EPS guidance for the fourth quarter and full year. In 2017, the company will complete the rollout of its new selling model and accelerate the digitization of its product lines. These efforts will enable the company to reach double-digit growth in 2018 and beyond'.

The firm currently has fifteen offices in North America, Europe and Asia, and at the end of January it announced plans to open an office in Davidson County, where it will invest $2.8m and create approximately 120 new sales and support jobs in Nashville over the next three years.
