New MD for Ipsos MORI Scotland

Emily Gray has relocated from Ipsos MORI's London office, to take up the role of Managing Director in Scotland. She replaces Steven Hope who is changing careers, as he moves to a 'new brewing venture'.

Emily GrayGray (pictured) joined Ipsos MORI as an SRE in 2006, and for the past eight years, she has served as Co-Head of the Public-Sector Communications Research Unit, which works with government, public sector and NGO clients. She has a particular expertise in multi-country research, and is part of the company's Senior Management Team for International Social Research. Before joining, she worked as an academic researcher in political communications at the Institute of Communications Studies at Leeds University.

In her new role, Gray will replace Hope, who has worked for Ipsos MORI for the past thirteen years, with nearly six of them spent as MD in Scotland. Earlier, he was a Director at Scotland's first full service agency System Three, which went through a series of mergers until it became TNS BMRB Scotland in 2009, and was later taken over by Ipsos MORI.

Bobby Duffy, MD of Ipsos MORI's Social Research Institute, thanked Hope for helping build the Scotland business, and wished him luck with his new brewing venture. Commenting on Gray's appointment, he added: 'Ipsos MORI has been committed to providing innovative, robust and reliable research focused on the distinct needs of Scottish policy-makers and businesses since first launching in Scotland 22 years ago. Emily combines hands on research expertise and strong client focus with energy and a passion for innovation, which makes her the ideal leader for our business in Scotland.'
