New CEO for Tapad

US-based cross-media marketing technology specialist Tapad has appointed Sigvart Voss Eriksen as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Are Traasdahl who is moving into the advisory role of Chairman Emeritus.

Sigvart Voss EriksenTelenor Group-owned Tapad offers a range of solutions for cross-device retargeting, mobile retargeting and mobile audience buying. Its 'Device Graph' targeting system examines 'trillions' of data points every month, to determine if different devices are owned by the same person; while its Viewable Exposure Time metric identifies the optimal amount of time a consumer spends with an ad before they take action.

Voss Eriksen (pictured) joins from Telenor, where he latterly served as Head of Advertising Technology. He joined the business in 2001, and has since held roles including Chief Marketing Officer of the company in Pakistan, Hungary and Thailand. At Tapad, he will focus on developing the company's core graph and identifying cross-device products, with a focus on improving the infrastructure to create new features and vertical solutions for marketers.

Commenting on the changes, Traasdahl said: 'It is sixteen months since Tapad's acquisition by Telenor and having seen the company thrive, it was a very natural transition that I shift operational day-to-day responsibilities to a new CEO. Sigvart brings to the role both experience in the advertising technology industry, as well as a rich relationship with Telenor. He is fully equipped to spur Tapad's growth across the globe and I can't think of anyone better to pick up the baton and shape the next era of this great company'.
