IRI Launches UK-Based Growth Solutions Practice

IRI has enhanced its core business of providing big data and predictive analytics for FMCG manufacturers and retailers, with the launch of a Growth Solutions practice. Former Premier Foods exec Daniel Hunt joins to help lead the practice.

Daniel HuntThe new division will help clients across the UK with media strategy and optimisation, shopper marketing effectiveness, price and promotions, in-store activation, and range optimisation. Hunt (pictured) joins IRI's office in Bracknell, with eighteen years' experience across brands such as McVities, KP, Jacobs, Lloyd Grossman, Sharwoods and Ambrosia. Most recently, he worked at Premier Foods, latterly as Commercial Planning & Execution Controller for the desserts and home baking category. Earlier, he was the firm's Revenue Growth Management Controller, overseeing areas such as pricing and promotional strategy, promotional ROI improvement, new product commercialisation and the business planning cycle. Before Premier Foods, Hunt worked for United Biscuits in market strategy and planning roles.

Hunt will lead the new practice's Price and Promotions specialism, while two additional team members appointed from within the business will lead the other two divisions. Carl Carter takes charge of the Media Practice, and Matthew Webster heads up In-Store Activation and Range Optimisation. Kieran South, SVP IRI UK and in overall charge of the new unit, comments: 'With the pace of change in UK FMCG accelerating, the Growth Solutions team has been created to help IRI's clients identify and illuminate opportunities that can increase their sales and ROI.
