Nielsen Sport's Simon Long Becomes Stylus Global CRO

In London, innovation research and advisory company Stylus has appointed former Nielsen Sport exec Simon Long as Global Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for developing commercial strategy and processes across the firm's membership and for its bespoke advisory services.

Simon LongStylus provides an online subscription-based service which tracks consumer behavior and cultural shifts across industries such as automotive, technology, media, retail and fashion. This is used by design, marketing and branding agencies to stimulate new ideas about consumer products and services. Last month, the company expanded into Latin America, adding to its existing operations in London, Miami, New York, Melbourne, Singapore and Tokyo.

Long joins with more than twenty years' experience in domestic and international B2B and B2C sales positions. Most recently at Nielsen Sport, he served as Head of Business Development for UK and Ireland, working with rights holders, media platforms and brands. Before this, he was Chief Commercial Officer at the Lawn Tennis Association, and CEO at sports events promoter North One Sport. Earlier, he held a variety of international sales and marketing roles at Diageo.

In his new position replacing former CRO Stephen Morgan who has left the firm to 'pursue new opportunities', Long will also be tasked with identifying business opportunities across Europe, the USA and Asia, working closely with the firm's local offices. He will report to CEO and founder Marc Worth, who comments: 'Simon joins at a key time of growth and expansion for the business. His track record of building commercially valuable brands and business solutions, allied to his international experience, make him ideally suited to driving continued growth at Stylus'.
