Eyeota Brings In AsiaPac MD
Local audience data provider Eyeota has appointed early investor Andrew Tu as Managing Director, Asia Pacific. He succeeds co-founder Trent Lloyd, who moves into a global role as EVP Global Publisher Strategy and Products.
 Singapore-based Eyeota offers access to 'three billion unique profiles' in Europe, APAC and the Americas, based on third party audience data. The firm has partnerships with YouGov, GfK, Kantar Media, Oracle and Ipsos, among others. Last year, it expanded to the US with the opening of an office in New York's Union Square.
Tu (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' experience in digital media, marketing, programmatic and audience targeting. Most recently, he ran his own digital media and tech consultancy, Konnect Asia, prior to which he was VP, Asia Pacific for cross-media marketing technology specialist Tapad. During his career, he has also held senior roles at Brandscreen, Adify, OMD, Young & Rubicam, MSN (Asia Region - Microsoft Corp), and OgilvyOne. As an early investor in Eyeota, he helped conceptualize the business.
In his new position, Tu will oversee the firm's commercial operations in Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and Southeast Asia; working closely with the global team to identify new opportunities in the region, accelerate company growth, and expand the overall audience targeting ecosystem in region. He takes over from Trent, who will now focus on supply and publishers. Commenting on the changes, Trent said: 'As we recalibrate our positioning in the market and I focus more on a global strategy, Andrew was the most logical executive to bring on board. As one of the co-founders of Eyeota and a pioneer in the APAC programmatic world, his regional knowledge, expertise and proven track record is the right fit as we look to accelerate our business in APAC'.
