TEG Rewards Becomes TEG Insights

In Australia TEG, which offers ticketing, live entertainment and data analytics, has re-named its online research business TEG Rewards as TEG Insights, reflecting a closer working relationship with its TEG Analytics and TEG Digital businesses.

Sydney-based TEG comprises eleven companies including TEG Analytics, which offers data, analytics and intelligence services to the live entertainment and sports industries in Australasia and has a database of fourteen million customer records; TEG Digital, an eCommerce business powered by advanced data driven solutions, drawing on the insights and analytics from millions of records and over 230 re-targeting campaigns; and TEG Rewards, which provides an online permission-based research panel in Australia and New Zealand.

The last of these - now called TEG Insights - was established in 2007 and in the past decade, 2.4 million people have taken part in the consumer panels forming the backbone of its research and insights effort - with more than $10m worth of rewards distributed.

TEG CEO Geoff Jones explains: 'The consumer panels and surveys remain the bedrock of the insights business, but the way we are augmenting these insights with other, larger data sets means the term 'research' is changing rapidly. The rebrand to TEG Insights is the final piece in TEG's strategy to activate the insights drawn from Australia's largest consumer research panel of one million people and to integrate with our powerful data analytics and digital marketing capabilities'.
