Remesh and Good Country Develop New Civic Model

MR software firm Remesh has partnered with non-profit organisation the Good Country, which provides a measure of what each country on earth contributes to the common good of humanity, to launch a new model for civic participation.

Good Country works on the premise that problems like climate change, pandemics, migration, terrorism and economic chaos are multiplying because of globalisation. Since national governments are only focused on the national interest, Good Country is attempting to develop a new model, where countries can co-operate and collaborate without losing competitive advantage.

New York-based Remesh uses AI and natural language processing to determine the collective opinion of crowds. The new, jointly developed platform allows the Good Country to engage with citizens via a chat interface in real-time and uses AI to analyze, understand and segment audience responses as they happen. Remesh will provide the technology needed for its partner to stay attuned to the will of its 'population' and, it says, potentially erase the need for traditional voting methods.
