RI Appoints New US Chief Exec
Research International has appointed Lorna Walters, formerly President of NFO Healthcare, to the position of CEO of the United States business unit. She will be based in RI's NY metropolitan regional office located in Stamford, CT.
Walters began her career in the UK with AGB and BMRB before moving to the client side as European Market Research Director, first for Gillette, and then for Gatorade (Quaker Oats), where she was subsequently promoted to European Strategic Planning Director. She moved to the US in 1994 where she worked in various sales positions on Snapple and Gatorade. She joined NFO in 1996 as Managing Director, International for NFO Migliara Kaplan, part of NFO Healthcare. She was promoted to President, NFO Healthcare in 2000.
Walters says that whilst on the client side she was 'a very satisfied client of Research International', and adds 'I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the USA team as we dedicate ourselves to increasing our value to our US and global clients'.
According to Jon Wilkinson, RI Group's Chairman and CEO, 'Lorna brings a wide and highly appropriate range of skills and blend of both US and international experience to her new role as CEO of Research International, USA. We are confident she will lead Research International to continued growth in the US market'.
