YouGov Buys Conversation Platform inconvo

UK-based YouGov has paid an undisclosed sum for inconvo, whose platform helps companies to build conversations based around the 'passion points' of their audiences.

Sundip Chahalinconvo was set up last year by Freddie Sayers, Graeme Ford and Etienne Adriaenssen, and allows clients to engage with audiences across their messaging apps, social media, web sites and mobile apps, on topics 'from politics and parenting to football and television'.

The company is now led by Graeme Ford and David Dobrin, and while inconvo will work closely with YouGov on areas of mutual interest, it will operate independently - keeping its own name, web site and office. Sundip Chahal (pictured), YouGov COO, comments on the deal: 'This purchase is important for us both technologically and strategically. Engaging with audiences on a mass scale is one of the key challenges facing data and analytics firms. Inconvo's technology represents an important step forward when it comes to mass engagement models'.
