Communisis Agrees Sale to OSG Group Holdings

The Board of UK-based data-driven marcoms agency Communisis has agreed to sell the business to New York-based payment solutions firm OSG Group Holdings, for approximately £153.8m.

Communisis provides solutions for communication and marketing execution, from twelve offices across Europe and operations in New York and Hong Kong. Its range of customer experience and brand deployment services includes customer communications management, marketing services and strategy, along with analytics services for performance MI and KPI tracking, global market trends and category insights. Its future owner OSG also offers customer communication and marketing services, and focuses on outsourced billing, communications and payment solutions.

David Gilbertson, Chairman of Communisis, says that while the Board believes the business would have a 'promising future' as an independent listed company, a combination with OSG will provide it with the scale, global presence and digital technology capabilities to ensure it remains at the forefront of its industry. Scott Bernstein, Chairman and CEO of OSG, adds: 'we believe that uniting Communisis and OSG will be an important step in building one of the largest and most competitive outsourced customer communications platforms serving businesses globally'.
